Upgrading the atmospheric distillation residue of Al- Samawah refinery utilizing thermal cracking process

چکیده

Thermal cracking of heavy oil residues has gained the attention refineries due to increasing need for light fractions, as well its lower value compared fractions. In this paper, thermal process residual crude that product from atmospheric distillation towers in Samawah Refinery was studied order convert into a lighter oil. API gravity and conversion ratio result been adopted indicators accuracy efficiency AR  (atmospheric residue), where AR is equal 15.5 .The response surface methodology (RSM) design experiments reach best variables operational conditions , which were range temperatures (350-450 degrees Celsius) time (30-60 minutes), through we obtain results liquid resulting AR, 53.4%   equals 34.4 with 45 minutes temperature  386 0C.
